(KSL News) -- A Weber County woman made up a story, to get her husband ready for a BIG surprise this morning on Eyewitness News Today.
Dale Smith: "She told me we had to go to the doctors this morning."
Kathleen Smith was actually trying to prepare her husband, Dale, for Coco Warner. Coco gave Dale a "High Five" for helping Kathleen through serious health issues. Kathleen says Dale is a supportive husband, especially since she's been in and out of the hospital for over a decade.
Kathleen Smith/Nominated Husband: "He's taken care of me for the last 11 years...and he's the love of my life."
Kathleen says Dale is also a wonderful father to her 15 year old daughter, and a great teacher to his students at the Ogden -Weber Applied Technology College.
