SALT LAKE CITY -- The federal trial of two men accused of releasing hundreds of mink from a South Jordan farm began Monday in Salt Lake.
William Viehl and Alex Hall have both pleaded not guilty to charges of damaging and interfering with animal enterprises.
Prosecutors allege the men, both members of the Animal Liberation Front, are responsible for a raid on the McMullin Mink Farm in August 2008.
If convicted, Viehl and Hall could spend up to six years in prison and pay a $350,000 fine.
