SALT LAKE CITY -- Friends of a Sudanese man accused of running down a group of children on a Kearns sidewalk say that's not the man they know.
Luka Kang is in jail after the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office says he intentionally steered his car into the children, sending some to the hospital Wednesday.
But people who've known the 50-year-old Sudanese refugee for years just can't believe it.
A man who had taken Kang in here in Utah says Kang was having vision problems and he was worried about letting him drive.
Kang could be charged next week.
