This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Payment processing is an important part of doing business. It's essential to be able to accept payments whenever and wherever customers pay and to do so with the lowest possible costs to the merchant. Both buyers and sellers need transactions to be safe, fast and inexpensive.
iTransact, located in Farmington, provides products and services that allow a business to quickly and inexpensively take payment for a sale whether the customer is paying by check, credit card or gift card. The company's product allows merchants to accept payments securely 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
For traditional retail businesses, iTransact can provide a merchant account and credit card terminal. For Internet businesses, iTransact has a "payment gateway" that is compatible with merchant accounts obtained virtually anywhere. It can be integrated into nearly any shopping cart software or used as a stand-alone "virtual terminal." The gateway also allows sellers to inexpensively process payments over the phone. Merchants can process their transactions on iTransact's secure servers or via a secure server of their own.
iTransact partners with banks, credit unions, network marketing companies and other trade associations who can private label iTransact's product as their own. This helps reinforce their own company identity by bundling iTransact's generic, unbranded payment gateway into a company's service offering.
Todd Richardson explained that iTransact likes to cut through the fog of merchant account pricing, which is often murky and confusing. iTransact will do a free analysis of a merchant's current fee structure, revealing what a business is paying for each type of transaction. iTransact will then provide suggestions on how to reduce these fees.
In today's economic climate, reducing transaction fees is more important than ever, and iTransact can show any type of business how to do exactly that.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
