SALT LAKE CITY -- The parent company of KSL has a new vice president of Corporate Human Resources. Claire Averett takes over human resources at Deseret Management Corporation, which oversees Bonneville International.

Averett comes to DMC with more than 25 years of experience in human resource strategy, processes and systems development. "I enjoy helping organizations create successful, great places to work," said Averett. "I look forward to working with the great DMC organizations and helping them move forward with an integrated human resource strategy."

Averett received her bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and Master's degree from Adams State College. She has worked in human resource executive management positions at Community Nursing Services (Salt Lake City, Utah), WordPerfect Corporation (Orem, Utah), Novell Inc. (Provo, Utah), Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (Provo, Utah) and Intermountain Health Care (Park City, Utah).

"We are pleased to have Claire join DMC," said Mark H. Willes, DMC president and CEO. "With her broad-based experience and expertise, she will be a great resource in helping DMC tie strategic decisions to organization design and effectiveness."

Deseret Management Corporation is a for-profit operating company that manages and oversees the commercial companies affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

DMC's companies include Beneficial Financial Group, Bonneville International Corporation, Deseret Book Company, Deseret News Publishing Company, Hawaii Reserves, Inc., Temple Square Hospitality Corporation, and Zions Securities Corporation.
