MIDVALE -- Someone stole five specially-designed tricycles from the kids at a Midvale Head Start preschool.

"They were locked up Friday afternoon, and the first teacher to arrive at Copperview found the door open, and the trikes were gone on Monday morning," said Joshua Edward, with Salt Lake CAP Head Start.

Employees at Copperview Head Start say the tricycles are used by the kids every day and are very valuable. Each one had to be specially designed to meet strict federal guidelines and is worth $200.

The school's administrators say they don't know where they'll find the money to replace them.
