CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- Southern Utah University's child care center is shutting down because of funding problems.
Dean O'Driscoll, vice president of university relations, says the center is closing because of budget cuts. He says the center didn't create revenue for the university and instead was an expense.
The center, which provides child care for SUU faculty and students, has three full-time employees and serves about 25 children. Students also worked at the center but not for pay.
The center is scheduled to close at the end of the spring semester.
