(KSL News) Today a man accused of killing his mother and desecrating her body will be in court.
Matthew Kirkham, 34, will appear for a scheduling hearing. He is charged with the murder of his 72-year old mother.
Prosecutors say Kirkham hit his mother in the head with a rock and then made her breathe into a paint bag.
She died from blunt force trauma to the head.
