SALT LAKE COUNTY -- A man who was found burned to death in a car near Saltair has been identified. Salt Lake County sheriff's officials say the man was Gregory M. Nelson of West Jordan.

Nelson was found dead inside the burned car late Friday night. Two propane tanks were also in the car with him. Valves on both of those tanks had been removed, allowing the gas to seep inside.

At this time, though, it's not clear how the fire started or if it was intentionally set.

Investigators do not believe this case is in any way related to a similar incident in Big Cottonwood Canyon earlier this month.
