SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake International Airport is saying "see you in court" to the Transportation Security Administration. Airport officials have filed a lawsuit over TSA's use of the slogan "simpli-fly" to help people negotiate security and carry-on rules.

The airport launched its own "simpli-fly" campaign in 2003. Spokeswoman Barbara Gann says they even trademarked it in 2005.

Gann believes the use of the phrase and similar logo are coincidental, but she also feels the TSA should stop using them now.

"It's very important to us because it is, first of all, the right thing; and secondly, we do have a future planned for it where we want to use it even more extensively than we have in the past," Gann said.

Currently, the airport's "simpli-fly" campaign refers to a phone line travelers can use to get important information about flying to and from Salt Lake City.

The TSA hasn't responded to the lawsuit yet, which was filed in federal court Monday.
