SALT LAKE CITY - A 53-year-old man who was hit by a distracted driver March 17 has died from his injuries.
Kelly Almond stepped out from behind a truck near 300 West and 400 North in Salt Lake City.
Police say that's when the driver looked away for a moment and veered to the right and struck him.
Almond died Friday.
Police say speed was likely a factor in the accident.
