(KSL News) -- A man believed to be the first charged under the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act has been indicted by a federal grand jury.
John Gill, a register sex offender from Idaho, was arrested Monday for failing to register again after moving to Utah.
The new federal law requires sex offenders to register their new address every time they move.
Gill entered a not guilty plea during the brief court appearance.
He is scheduled to go to trial in December.
