(KSL News) -- Senator Orrin Hatch has raised so much money for his election campaign he's giving some of it away.
According to financial disclosures, Hatch has raiased 1.1 million dollars in just the past three months, bringing his total campaign funds to 2.9 million.
That is more than 200 times the amount raised by challenger Pete Ashdown.
Hatch's campaign manager said they are now wanting to use the money to help other candidates, giving almost three hundred thousand dollars away to the national and state Republican parties.
