(KSL News) Someone fired shots at a Salt Lake house in what police believe may be a gang-related incident.
Salt Lake City police say a car pulled up outside the house near 400 East and 700 South just after midnight. Someone got out and fired two rounds into the house.
One round went through a back door, hit a few chairs and then lodged in the front wall of the house.
The people inside were asleep and were not hurt.
Sgt. Bryce Johnson said, "There's a good possibility that there's some kind of relationship between people that shot and kids in the house. (It) could have some gang ties to it."
Neighbors report seeing a dark-colored, 2000 Mazda 6 fleeing the scene.
