Taylorsville police are asking for the public's help to identify a serial burglar. They say the suspect has been involved in at least 2 burglaries, 1 attempted burglary and 1 theft.
Police say the burglaries took place at a dentist's office in the complex at 6287 S. Redwood Rd. One incident happened Feb. 17 between 5:30 and 6 p.m. The suspect gained entry to an office, smashed in a cash box, took $200 and change out of one office and $350 from another office.
The same person is believed to be responsible for a theft at Richelle's clothing store at 4699 Highland Dr. in Holladay on Jan. 28.
So far, surveillance video has not been much help in the investigation.
Redwood Dental Specialty is offering a $1,000 reward for information on the identification and conviction of the thief.
Anyone with information on the suspect should contact Detective Jason Watkins at the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office or Detective Jennifer Gober at the Taylorsville Police Department at 743-7000.
