(KSL News) -- A crash at a Taylorsville Walmart left two people injured.

The crash happened just after 2:00 this afternoon on 54th South and Redwood Road.

Police say a man tried to cash an $800 check inside Walmart. The cashier was suspicious of the check and the man's ID. He ran out of the store and employees ran after him.

Police say he tried to get into another customer's car in the parking lot as it was backing out.

The driver accidentally hit the suspect and a worker chasing him. Both were taken to the hospital, but are expected to be fine.
