KSL Newsradio's Greg Neft reportingWith the election fast approaching, leaders are trying different things to get citizens signed up to vote.
It's not registering online or by mail, but voters in Salt Lake County had the chance today to register to vote without getting out of their cars.
Sherrie Swensen, Salt Lake County Clerk: "People can drive through without even having to get out of their car. We'll hand them a clipboard and they can register to vote."
The Salt Lake County Clerk's Office held a "Voter Express". Drivers could pull into the parking lot at the Salt Lake County Complex and fill out a voter registration form.
Workers with the County Clerk's Office will accept voter application forms until five this afternoon. Officials say voters who have changed their name or moved, will need to re-register.
The County Clerk's offices are located at 2001 S. State Street.
Election Day is November 7th.
