A California grocery store chain is hoping to start spreading throughout Utah, and company officials say a slow economy isn't a deterrent.
A good crowd showed up to see what the new Buy Low grocery store in Provo is all about. Today marks the store's grand opening. It's taking over the building inside the Plum Tree Shopping Center on University Parkway, which was formerly occupied by Reams.

McCalaeb says the Provo store is just the beginning for what the company wants to do here. "We hope to have a number of stores here soon in Utah. We like the Utah consumer, and that's a great community, great workforce," he said.
The new store employs over 100 people.
