(KSL News) -- Some rare birds may be leaving their home in Salt Lake.

The rhinoceros hornbills and the pink pigeons may be saying goodbye, over accrediation problems facing the Tracy Aviary.

The aviary's latest application for accreditation was rejected last week due to infastructure problems at the 68-year old landmark. Bird care was not an issue.

Without accreditation, the aviary cannot participate in the Association of Zoo's species survival plans, which the rare birds are a part of.

The Tracy Aviary is filing an appeal.
