(KSL News) -- Several Salt Lake businesses and organizations received awards today for their efforts to cut down pollution along the Wasatch Front.

The Lazy Boy facility in Tremonton was given a special commendation for reducing emissions at the plant by 21 percent and cutting energy uses by almost seven percent in the past year.

Uintah Brewing Company, Wild Oats Markets, ARAMARK, and the University of Utah were also honored for saving water, using green power sources and cutting down on the amount of trash through large scale recycling programs.
