(KSL News) -- Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputies confirm a woman at University Hospital is the woman rescue crews were searching for today in Parely's Canyon.
Deputies say Leah Steele wandered off when she and a male companion pulled their car over to rest in Parley's Canyon.
The man fell asleep and when he woke up, Steele was gone.
Salt Lake City firefighters took Steele to University Hospital's emergency room. Authorities say it wook a while to identify her because she was disoriented.
Lt. Paul Jaroscak/Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office: "I also understand that she's been uncooperative with people at the hospital, refusing to give a name."
Authorities found her on a sidewalk near the airport. Family members say Steele suffers from mental instability, and could be off her medication.
