Three people who thought they could walk out of Wal-Mart with a bin full of DVDs have been arrested.

Police say the three first went to the Payson Wal-Mart, got a bin and started filling it up with DVDs. But they ran off when approached by a store employee.

‘Apparently got straight in their car and drove to the Springville Wal-Mart, went in and tried the same thing," said Lt. Dave Caron of the Springville Police Department.

He says when approached by an employee this time, the suspects ran out with the bin and drove off. Police caught up to them a short time later. They were arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail one week ago.

"They really have varied viewing tastes, or they had no intention of watching any of them," Caron said.

The suspects had with them more than $1,500 in box set DVDs, everything from "Battlestar Galactica" to "Band of Brothers."

The suspects are identified as 52-year-old Patricia Mertin, 25-year-old Cassidy Allen Shearer, and 22-year-old Jason Matthew Madrigal.
