(KSL News) -- When you're sick, price often isn't the biggest concern -- until the bill comes.
Dr. Stephen Schroeder, Institute of Medicine: "Medical bills, especially hospital bills, are far from transparent. Most people look at them and scratch their heads."
That's changing. Healthgrades, a website which rates doctor and hospital care, recently added a feature showing exactly what providers charge their patients.
Aetna -- one of the nation's largest insurance plans -- also publishes individual doctors' rates online, so consumers can see if doctors in the same area with the same experience are charging the same price.
