(KSL News) Utah's bars and clubs started the new year smoke free.
New Year's revelers with a craving for nicotine had to take it outside last night. That was because Utah's Indoor Clean Air Act took full effect at midnight.
Now, smokers who light up inside a nightlife establishment face fines.
Bars and clubs also face fines of up to $5,000 dollars for allowing smoking.
