Feeling down with all of the holiday hype? ‘Tis the season for some people to feel depressed.
Experts call it the winter blues, either from a lack of sunshine or unmet expectations.
"If Uncle George and Aunt Sue argue the rest of the year, they're not going to change that pattern for Christmas," said Clinical Social Worker Mary Talboys at the Neuro-psychiatric Institute.
She says some people fall into the doldrums in their quest for either the perfect family or the perfect holiday cookies.
"The togetherness sometimes gets set aside," she said.
She says Valentine's Day is sweetened with hype, too.
