(KSL News) A suspect in a 2007 hair salon shooting in Glendale has been extradited from Mexico.

Miguel Mateos-Martinez was located in Baja, Mexico, yesterday. U.S. Marshals, along with Mexican authorities, arrested him and brought him to Salt Lake where homicide detectives interviewed him tonight.

Mateos-Martinez is suspected of shooting and killing hair stylist Faviola Hernandez during a robbery at "The Shop" salon in August of 2007. He was identified as the chief suspect shortly after the killing but was believed to have fled to Mexico.

Countless hours of investigation led to his arrest in July, now he'll face the charges against him here.
