OGDEN — Ogden police say a "juvenile" was shot and killed early Saturday, but they have released very few details about the killing.

About 3 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 3500 block of Jackson Avenue. Police then discovered a "juvenile victim" who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement from the Ogden Police Department.

A "juvenile suspect" from Syracuse was arrested for investigation of murder, police said.

The statement provided no information about the victim nor the suspect, nor did police provide any details about the shooting death.

"Currently there are no known threats to the community," police said.

Anyone with information about the killing is asked to call Weber County dispatch at 801-395-8221.
