MORGAN — Troopers have identified the victim of a Sunday crash on I-84 near Morgan as Deziree Dawn Rinquest, 52, of South Jordan.

At 10:32 a.m., a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling west on I-84 left the road and struck a semitruck that was parked on the road's shoulder, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The Jeep then reentered I-84 traffic and was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado, according to the UHP.

The driver and passenger of the Jeep were taken to a hospital, where troopers say the passenger died. Troopers identified Rinquest as the passenger Monday but did not provide an update about the condition of the driver.

The occupants of the semitruck and the Silverado were evaluated at the scene and not taken to the hospital, the UHP statement says.

No other information was initially released about those involved in the crash.
