SEVIER, Sevier County — One person is dead after a semitruck crash on Interstate 70 Friday, west of Richfield.

The semitruck, which was traveling east on I-70, went off the road, hit a barrier and rolled, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cam Roden. He said the driver of the semitruck wasn't wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. At this point, it is not believed there were other occupants of the semitruck.

The left lane of eastbound I-70 is blocked, and Roden said he expects it to be closed for "several hours."

No information about the driver was immediately available Friday morning.
