HEBER CITY — A 60-year-old man died in a car crash Monday afternoon, police said.

The Heber City Police Department said police and paramedics responded to a crash with injuries at 400 South and 500 East at about 2:35 p.m. Police say a vehicle headed east on 400 South failed to stop at a stop sign at 500 East and hit another vehicle going south.

"The driver of Vehicle 1 (that ran the stop sign), a 60-year-old male, sustained serious injuries and was transported by emergency medical personnel to Heber Valley Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries," a news release says.

No other injuries were reported. The name of the man who died is being withheld by police until relatives have been contacted.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
