HEBER CITY — A driver pulling onto state Route 40 Tuesday morning was hit and killed by a semitruck.

The incident happened about 8:15 a.m. when a Nissan Xterra attempted to make a left turn out of a dealership near 1460 North in Heber City, when it turned out into the path of an oncoming semitruck traveling west on SR 40, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The Nissan was T-boned by the semi on the driver's side. The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene, the UHP said. Information about the driver is unknown.

No one else was injured.
