SALT LAKE CITY — Is it any coincidence that the Utah Hockey Club snapped a five-game losing streak after Dylan Guenther's return from an injury. SLC Puck host Austin Facer doesn't think so.

Guenther provided multiple thrills in his first game back after missing the previous 12, but it was his last one, an electric game-winner in overtime that sent Delta Center into a frenzy. But as Facer and other close observers of the game noticed, the sequence that set up Guenther's goal was just as impressive and slick as the score itself.

That, along with a strong outing by fan favorite, Liam O'Brien, got the Club back to winning ways. It's good timing as the team enters a crucial stretch just before the league breaks for the 4 Nations Faceoff tournament. Some hockey pundits feel this could be the NHL's unofficial trade deadline, leading Facer to wonder if Utah fans will see some new faces next time the team suits up at Delta Center on Feb. 23.
