OREM — Westlake's coed cheer squad swept all three categories Wednesday evening for a successful title defense.

The Thunder are back on top for the second time in as many years, while Bingham won its first state title in the 6A all-girls division Wednesday at the UCCU Center at Utah Valley University.

Riverton and Weber finished second and third in coed, respectively.

The Miners won the sideline/timeout cheer and show categories, and finished second to two-time reigning 6A champion Corner Canyon in sideline/timeout dance to claim their first title since the Utah High School Activities Association sanctioned competitive cheer in 2023.

Davis, Lehi and Mountain Ridge rounded out the top five in all-girls.
