ELON, N.C. — Led by Nick Dorn's 24 points, the Elon Phoenix defeated the Hampton Pirates 70-62. Sam Sherry scored 20 points on 10-of-13 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds for Elon (11-4, 2-0 Coastal Athletic Association). Daniel Johnson led Hampton (8-7, 1-2) with 15 points.
