WEST VALLEY CITY — A pedestrian was struck by a car Friday, and later died of his injuries, according to West Valley police.
Police said on social media on Saturday that a 53-year-old man was pushing a shopping cart about 8 p.m. across 4100 South near 4730 West near the Hunter Public Library, when he was struck by an SUV traveling east.
"The man was wearing dark clothing and crossing outside of a crosswalk," police said. He was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The man's name has not yet been released.
