(KSL News) The recent round of snow has led to an avalanche warning in the mountains.
The Utah Avalanche Center says the avalanche danger is high in both the Salt Lake and Provo area mountains.
It's warning skiers and snowboarders to be extremely careful, especially on slopes steeper than 35 degrees and in the backcountry.
One person died on Sunday in an avalanche at Snowbird. That slide happened in bounds on a slope that had already been prepared by avalanche control teams.
