A student has been suspended because of a threat at Dugway High School in Tooele County. The school went into high alert today because of a threatening e-mail.
The Tooele County School District Superintendent Terry Linares won't say what was threatening about that e-mail, but she say it was enough to take extra precautions today.
Students and faculty were only allowed to enter the school through the front doors, and they were searched as they entered.
Dugway Proving Ground police sent out a phone message telling parents and residents there was a credible threat of a potential for violence and use of deadly force at the high school in the next two days.
A recorded message from Dugway police asks residents to check to make sure none of their own weapons is missing.
The superintendent says the threat has been resolved and the investigation is ongoing.
She also said there will still be security at school tomorrow and that the basketball game scheduled for tomorrow night will go on as planned.
The school serves about 120 students.
