PARIS — Ysaora Thibus, one of France's leading fencers, has been selected to compete at the Paris Olympics after escaping a disciplinary sanction from the International Fencing Federation over an abnormal doping test. The French fencing federation says Thibus was included in the women's foil team alongside Pauline Ranvier, Eva Lacheray and alternate Anita Blaze. Thibus was provisionally suspended in February. She argued that she had tested positive for the anabolic substance ostarine after being contaminated accidentally by her partner and was later cleared of wrongdoing.
