SALT LAKE CITY — MountainStar Healthcare has appointed a new president for its eight Utah hospitals, between Logan and Payson.
Evan Ray will be replacing Greg Angle, the company announced on March 19. Angle announced his retirement in February after 10 years as president of MountainStar.
"I'm grateful to have benefited from extraordinary enterprise support and to have worked with such talented people wholeheartedly committed to our mission of caring for people and improving lives," Angle said.
Ray has been serving as the executive vice president of HCA Healthcare's Gulf Coast division, where he was responsible for hospitals and outpatient care centers in Houston and south Texas. MountainStar said while he was there, the division advanced its capabilities and improved health care access.
Now, Ray is president over other facilities in HCA Healthcare's Mountain Division, which includes Utah's MountainStar facilities and stretches into Idaho and Alaska. This is one of 15 divisions of HCA Healthcare.
"It's an exciting time to continue my career in beautiful Utah and to serve some of the fastest-growing communities in our nation. ... I look forward to working with our 9,000 Mountain Division colleagues to bring the quality of our care to more Utahns, Idahoans and Alaskans," Ray said in a statement.
