BOUNTIFUL — One person is dead and two others were transported to the hospital after a wrong-way crash on Legacy Parkway Sunday morning.

The wrong-way driver of a Toyota Camry was traveling south on northbound Legacy Parkway near 500 South about 6:30 a.m. when the Camry struck a Chevy Cruze with two occupants inside, the Utah Highway Patrol said. The passenger of the Cruze, Wiacan Reddye, 27, of Roy, was killed.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to a hospital, where they were stabilized. Troopers did not say what condition they were in.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle is suspected of driving under the influence, but that is still under investigation, UHP Cpl. Luis Silva said.

Northbound Legacy Parkway was closed for several hours after the crash.
