Randall Jeppeson reporting A report on sexual health at college campuses gives Brigham Young University and the University of Utah failing grades. But some BYU professors say the report is almost comical because it gives no actual information about the students' health.
The report, sponsored by the Trojan condom company, says BYU received it's failing grade in part from a lack of sexual information on it's website. The report also disparaged the students' lack of access to condoms, which they say leads to unsafe sex and higher rates of sexually transmitted infections.
"But there were no data regarding the sexual health or the disease infection rates of any students," says BYU school and family life professor Terry Olsen. He says when it comes to being STD-free, it's hard to beat BYU.
"Utah in all counties is way below the national average in the number of persons infected," says Olsen.
The report ranks BYU as the worst out of 100 schools. The University of Utah ranks only two spots higher at 98.
