SOUTH WEBER, Davis County — Police have identified the woman who was hit and killed in an auto-pedestrian crash Tuesday night.

Jennifer Thompson, 40, of Layton, was walking along the highway on southbound U.S. 89, between South Weber Drive and I-84, the Utah HIghway Patrol said. She was hit by a van and then by another vehicle about 8:50 p.m.

Troopers have not said why Thompson was walking on the highway.
