EAGLE MOUNTAIN — An 8-year-old child was injured after falling from a second-story window in Eagle Mountain on Thursday.

Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Cannon said the fall occurred on Mountain Field Drive near the Silver Lake area.

Deputy Garrett Dutson said the girl was talking to a sibling outside through a second-story window directly above the driveway. The girl pushed against the window screen and it gave way, causing her to tumble down to the concrete.

Dutson said the girl sustained upper body trauma, and possible spine and brain trauma. She was transported by medical helicopter to Primary Children's Hospital.
