NORTH OGDEN — A 72-year-old man was struck and killed by a car Monday night, police say.

North Ogden police said a pedestrian was struck around 6 p.m. at the 550 E. 2600 North intersection. The 72-year-old was attempting to cross 2600 North when he was hit by a car traveling east.

He was taken to the hospital and later died. Police said the 26-year-old driver stayed on the scene and she cooperated with the investigation. A Weber County crash team assisted in the investigation to determine what led to the incident.

Police have not released the name of the deceased.
