COLUMBIA, S.C. — Dawn Staley is standing up for officials the NCAA says fell short in last season's national championship game in women's basketball. Staley says the "black and brown skinned women" had been singled out and, in her words, "thrown under the bus." She says they should be able to get key assignments in the future. Staley's undefeated Gamecocks had won 36 straight games before losing in the the national semifinals to Iowa.
