HENEFER, Summit County — A man died Tuesday after his truck rolled on I-84, troopers said.
The collision occurred about 12:30 p.m., according to UHP Sgt. Cam Roden. A single unit fuel truck pulling a tanker trailer was traveling west near Henefer in Summit County when the driver lost control and the trailer started to spin, he said.
The truck then rolled and the tank on the truck disconnected, Roden said. The trailer also rolled onto its side.
The driver of the truck suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, Roden said.
Both directions of I-84 were closed while crews worked to contain a fuel leak from the tanker, he said. The highway remained closed for several hours after the crash.
