PLEASANT GROVE — A registered sex offender has been charged with inappropriately touching a young boy who was trying to fix a flat tire on his bicycle.

Darrell Jesse Little, 42, of Pleasant Grove, was charged Friday in 4th District Court with aggravated sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony.

Police say the incident happened in 2019. A 13-year-old boy was riding his bike in a field when he got a flat tire and began pushing his bike home. The boy passed Little's house, who was outside mowing his lawn, according to charging documents.

Little, who was a stranger to the teen, offered to help the boy with his bike. "The victim pushed his bike to (Little's) garage and (Little) retrieved a bicycle pump," the charges state.

But as Little was helping the boy with his tire, he inappropriately touched the teen, according to the charges.

Little was convicted of lewdness involving a child in 2006, 2011, 2015 and last year, according to court records.
