MURRAY — A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital after a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Murray on Sunday, Murray police confirmed.
Murray police responded to the call of a fatal accident at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, police said.
The collision happened at 4500 South State St. in Murray, according to Murray police spokeswoman Kristin Reardon.
A motorcycle with two occupants collided with another vehicle, Reardon said. The deceased man and the injured woman were both on the motorcycle at the time of the accident, according to police.
The woman was transported to the hospital in stable but critical condition, police said.
The driver of the car remained on the scene and cooperated with police, Reardon said.
The intersection is expected to remain closed for a few hours Sunday evening while police continue investigating the cause of the crash, Murray police said.
