LOVE AT HOME — "It's only a game" is cold comfort to two groups of people: the highly competitive and those who have lost the game to flagrant cheating.

As many generations know, Mario Kart is arguably the top "family friendly" video game that brings out intense competition that may have nonfamily friendly results.

Between the timed race, red shells, and the nuclear devastation of blue shells, this go-kart game can get very intense very quickly. It may even be rare that even a single round of Mario Kart doesn't include trash talking, yelling and name-calling with the people we love most.

With this competitive-driving nature in mind, you can only imagine how a cheater cheater pumpkin eater can take the heat up to a volcanic notch. While some cheater victims will blow their top immediately, others may hold onto their anger to get their revenge at a later date.

Enter the dad featured in this video.

This man's daughter, Vivian, has been waiting to see if she got into a high school for the performing arts, and that's where dad's diabolical scheme comes in. In the clip, he shows her a "letter" from the school and he asks her on camera to open it.

The opening lines tell her she didn't get in, but dad forces her to keep reading. She continues with disappointment on her face and a shaky voice until she gets to one line:

"We regret that we cannot offer a position at our school to anyone who would unpause a game of Mario Kart while her opponent was out of the room."

You can tell that dad and daughter actually do have a loving and trusting relationship because she immediately gets the joke and is genuinely entertained by the prank.

Since he's a funny dad and not a cruel dad, it's then that he gives her the real letter, and she celebrates her acceptance to the school with squeals and hugs all around. It may be the happiest ending to Mario Kart cheating ever recorded.
