GOING PORTALING — College basketball's transfer portal opened on Monday, and a rush of players entered their names immediately.

Graduate transfers had already begun to enter the portal, but Monday was the first day of a 60-day window for players from across the country to opt for a change, regardless of academic standing.

On top of that, the one-time transfer exemption is still in effect, giving all undergraduate players a free transfer without sitting out. Within the first day, more than 170 players had submitted their names into the portal's director, according to Stadium's Jeff Goodman.

That included Mike Saunders Jr., the former Wasatch Academy guard who spent this past year (with limited minutes) at Utah. By the time Saunders' Utah teammate Jaxon Brenchley had joined him in declaring for the portal, the ex-Cincinnati transfer had already committed to McNeese State (led by former LSU coach Will Wade and one-time BYU assistant Heath Schroyer as athletic director).

BYU walk-on forward Hao Dong, the first-ever Cougars basketball player from Beijing, China, had also entered the portal, as first reported by Goodman.

Below is a complete list of transfers from across the state of Utah, including Utah, BYU, Utah State and more. Players are not bound to leave upon entering the portal, but coaches are not bound to retain their scholarship or a spot on the roster with a declaration.

Most transfer portal additions are based off original reporting, player announcements or VerbalCommits.com, unless otherwise noted.

Check back often for updates as players announce decisions and transfer destinations.
